The number already registered for the race is fantastic and we would like to thank you for having confidence in us. The Irontrail is on everybody's lips all over the world. There are reports in magazines from France, Italy, the USA and even South Africa, and runners from 26 nations will grace our adventure trail. Preda – Bergün: the most spectacular route of the Albula/Bernina line is a world heritage site with a historic railway trail
*Maiensäss: Special type of Alpine hut, or a collection of various Alpine huts that form a kind of village. A Maiensäss is located at an altitude of approximately 1,200 – 1,600 metres, below the tree-line.

Our small but beautiful village is situated in the heart of the Grisons, in the middle of the „Parc Ela“, the largest nature park in Switzerland. In summer enjoy countless hiking tours and mountain passes, past beautiful mountain lakes like the Lai da Palpuogna which was selected in the year 2008 as the most beautiful spot in Switzerland. In winter real fun begins! After an impressive train ride on the World Heritage UNESCO line of the Rhaetian Railway to Preda, 5 km of sledging on the famous sledge ride Preda-Bergün start!
Welcome to Filisur!
The clean environment and the easy accessibility by train or car is our greatest asset. Use the junction of the Rhaetian Railway as a starting point to do wonderful train excursions. Filisur is located in Switzerland’s largest nature park « Parc Ela » and is the national inventory of cultural goods. Due to the new bypass a stay at the historic village core turns out to be an experience of a special kind.
